Prof. Liu's research interest covers (a) Biomass catalytic conversion to produce fine chemicals and liquid fuels; (b) Study on new processes of catalytic oxidation and hydrogenation of biomass based furan derivatives; (c) The development of new methods for high value utilization of biomass and the design and synthesis of new catalytic materials.
