Qiuling Song Professor Key Laboratory of Molecule Synthesis and Function Discovery
Professor Song obtained her bachelor's degree from Zhengzhou University, her master's degree from Peking University under the supervision of Professor Zhenfeng Xi, and her Ph.D. from Princeton University in 2006 under the guidance of Professor Robert Pascal. After completing her doctorate, she entered the pharmaceutical industry and worked for five years. In May 2013, she began her independent academic career, focusing on research in organoboron chemistry, organofluorine chemistry, and radical chemistry. She has been selected as a Distinguished Professor in the Ministry of Education's Changjiang Scholars Program, a National Distinguished Expert, and a recipient of the Fujian Province "Hundred Talents Plan," among other honors. Professor Song was awarded the Fujian Province May Fourth Youth Medal in 2015, the 6th Contribution Award (Innovative Talent) of the Chinese Overseas Scholars in 2016, the ACP Lectureship Awards (Singapore and Japan) in 2018, the ACP Lectureship Awards (Taiwan and Korea) in 2019, the Thieme Chemistry Journal Award in 2021, and the WuXi AppTec Life Science Chemistry Research Award in 2022. In 2021, she was elected as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry. She currently serves as an Editorial Board Member of Organic Letters, Associate Editor of Journal of Heterocyclic Chemistry and Green Synthesis & Catalysis, and is on the editorial boards of journals such as Chinese Chemical Letters, Acta Chimica Sinica, Chinese Journal of Organic Chemistry, Chinese Journal of Pharmaceuticals, and Phosphorus, Sulfur, and Silicon and the Related Elements. she has published over 200 academic papers in prestigious domestic and international journals such as Nat. Chem., Chem, Nat. Synth., Acc. Chem. Res., Chem. Soc. Rev., J. Am. Chem. Soc., Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., Nat. Commun., ACS Cent. Sci., CCS Chem., Cell Rep. Phys. Sci., Chem. Sci., Sci. Bull., and Sci. China Chem.
